Terry Leach is a partner in the firm’s general liability department. Terry has significant litigation experience, having represented entities and individuals through all stages of litigation, from pre-suit to trial. She defends a wide range of matters, many with the potential for excess exposure, including, but not limited to, cases involving allegations of wrongful death, medical malpractice, automobile negligence, negligent security, and general premises liability. She is admitted to practice in the Florida State Courts System and the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida.

Though the majority of Terry’s legal career has concentrated on civil defense, her prior experiences have proved to be invaluable to her defense career. Immediately after law school, Terry worked as an attorney for the Office of the Public Defender, where she gained considerable trial experience; her knowledge of criminal law and procedure makes her uniquely situated to defend matters with underlying criminal issues. Terry was also a partner at a well-regarded personal injury firm, where she represented plaintiffs in high-exposure cases, from intake to trial.

Terry attended law school at Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida, where she served as editor and author for the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy. While in law school, she focused her study on business law, earning a Business Law Certificate with her Juris Doctor. In 2025, she was appointed to serve on the 2025-2026 FSU College of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors.
